Story Law Group is a Florida consumer protection law firm based in Jacksonville. Led by attorney Max Story, the firm represents consumers in cases involving credit report errors, identity theft, mixed credit files, post-bankruptcy credit reporting problems, tenant screening errors, background check errors, debt collection abuse, unauthorized electronic transfers, Zelle fraud, EFTA claims, and Regulation E disputes.
At Story Law Group, We do not represent big banks, credit bureaus, or debt collectors. We represent people.
When financial institutions get it wrong, the consequences are real. Credit reports are damaged. Loans are denied. Collections do not stop. Bankruptcy fresh starts are undermined.
We help consumers fix credit reporting errors, identity theft problems, mixed files, post-bankruptcy reporting issues, and unlawful debt collection practices. And when necessary, we take those cases to court.
This is a focused consumer protection practice — built to hold companies accountable and help people move forward.

Every case is led by attorney Max Story, with support systems designed to improve efficiency, organization, and client communication
Most consumer protection cases are handled on a contingency basis. That means clients do not pay attorney’s fees unless there is a recovery, and in many cases, the law requires the defendant to pay those fees.
If your credit report is wrong, a debt collector is violating your rights, or a company is reporting inaccurate information after bankruptcy, Story Law Group can review your situation and explain your options.
